The Words

One of the questions we asked the women was to name one word which is important to them, which motivates them. We always enjoyed this part of the interview because for many of the women, without realising it, the word had been a thread through their interview, weaving their experiences together and contributing to the tapestry of advice they wrapped us all in. We wrote the words on traditional Nepali lokta paper and included them in the inside front and back covers of the book.
